MAC Fantasy of Flowers Collection launched online on January 30th and in stores on February 6th. This collection consist of 6 Lipsticks, 6 Cremesheen Glasses, 2 Mineralize Skinfinishes, 2 Mineralize Blushes, 2 Fluidlines, 4 Pigments, 4 Mineralize Eyeshadows, 4 Nail Lacquers, 286 Duo Fibre Tapered Blending Brush, 159 Duo Fibre Face Brush, 187 Duo Fibre Face Brush and the Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara. I am in love with this collection! Every year I haul a lot from MAC's Spring collections and they are so amazing! This collection's lipsticks are all Lustre in which I'm a fan of because it was the very first finish I came across to. Also, I have included Stereo Rose, Perfect Topping, Pink Pearl Pigment, Violet Pigment, Star Quality Cremesheen Glass and Pagoda Cremesheen Glass in this post and those are my previous purchases. I got Stereo Rose from In The Groove Collection in 2010, Perfect Topping from Sugarsweet in 2009, Pink Pearl Pigment from the Heatherette Collection in 2008 (found it at my local CCO back in 2009), Violet Pigment is permanent and got it in the original jar before MAC changed the size of the pigments, Pagoda Cremesheen Glass is part of the permanent range and Star Quality Cremesheen Glass from Reel Sexy Collection back in 2012. Also, this collection has two displays in stores. One display is the cool toned shades and the other display is the warm toned shades. So onto the review!!
L-R: Heavenly Hybrid, Snapdragon, Dreaming Dahlia, Rose Lily
Heavenly Hybrid: It is described as a mid-tone berry. Heavenly Hybrid is so gorgeous and heavenly!! It almost reminded me of Dish It Up from Shop/Cook Collection in which I will do a swatch comparison of the two soon. I really adore this shade and love that it's pigmented. You can either wear it as a wash on your lips or build it to make it opaque for your own choosing. Also if you are a lover of berry toned lipsticks, then this is for you!
Snapdragon: It is described as a mid-tone blue pink. Snapdragon is a stunning shade!! At first I thought of Pink Popcorn being comparable to this but then again Budding Love came to mind as well. To me this one is a very unique shade that I don't own in my stash. The pigmentation is semi-sheer but you can build it to make it look opaque! This lipstick would look amazing with Playful Petal Cremesheen Glass!
Dreaming Dahlia: It is described as a sheer red coral. Dreaming Dahlia is a very gorgeous shade that I've ever seen!! This shade reminds me of Hibiscus from Surf Baby Collection and will be doing comparisons of the two soon. This shade is semi-opaque and can be build to make it more opaque on the lips. When I tired it on my lips, it looked so pretty but I will need to experiment it with a lip liner. Do get this stunning shade before it's sold out online!
Rose Lily: It is described as a sheer pastel pink. Rose Lily is a very pretty color! It reminds me of All Styled Up, Viva Glam Gaga 1, Pink Friday and Girl Next Door! I will be doing comparisons of them soon. This lipstick applied so opaque and will reqire lip liner like Magenta to make the color pop even more. I'm a sucker for cool toned pastel pinks for some reason and this lipstick had to be mine. I'm happy to own it!
Playful Petal: It is described as a electric magenta. Playful Petal is so gorgeous!! This cremsheen glass reminds me of a hybrid of Funtabulous and Extra Amps dazzleglass in cremesheen form! I am in love with this shade and do plan to back it up! This cremesheen made Snapdragon look so amazing!! I even tried it with Midnight Mambo Mineralize Rich Lipstick and loved it!! This cremesheen is a must have for sure!
Petal Power: It is described as a coral pink with gold shimmer. Petal Power is a gorgeous mineralize blush!! To me, it's more than likely to be used as a highlight due to the gold shimmer and plus when I swatch it, you can see the duochrome of the coral pink and gold shimmer and the texture is so soft! It is the most gorgeous shade that I have ever seen! I am in love with this blush and if you ever find this mineralize blush at your MAC store/counter, do snatch it up!!
Azalea In The Afternoon: It is described as a mid-tone blue pink. Azalea In The Afteroon is a gorgeous color!! I have yet to use this blush on myself and plan to use it as highlight with my pink blushes. The pigmentation is amazing and the texture is so soft! I will experiment with this blush soon and I recommend getting this blush before it's gone!
Stereo Rose MSF, Perfect Topping MSF, Pagoda c/g, and Star Quality c/g
Pink Pearl p/g and Violet p/g
Those pics above are my previous purchase of the products that you see. As I have seen pics of the new Stereo Rose and Perfect Topping MSFs, Stereo Rose is on the light coral side instead of being a true coral shade. Also, Perfect Topping this time around is more beige and less purple veining. If you want to go veining hunting for Perfect Topping, do ask the MAC Artist to find the one that has lots of purple veining. Here are swatches below:
