L-R: Fortune Cookie, Raspberry Tart, Cupcake, Sugar Cookie, Praline, Angel Food Cake, Ginger Snap, Red Velvet, Madeleine, Devil's Food Cake
Hello everyone! Cherry Culture did a March Madness sale that you get 40% off of everything online that ran from the 4th to the 9th. It was a great opportunity to get all 10 new shades of the NYX Butter Gloss because I have been wanting them since they announced they had the new shades in which I was excited about because I have the original 12 shades that they released last year. I wanted to purchase all 10 together for awhile and the colors are so gorgeous and the names are so yummy! If you want to see more pics, and swatches and thoughts about the new shades of the NYX Butter Gloss, keep reading below.
Fortune Cookie: It is described as a true nude. I find Fortune Cookie a bit unflattering on my skintone but using a brown lip liner or mixing it with another lipgloss darker than this shade would make Fortune Cookie wearable. I do love this shade and to me it almost reminds me of MAC Creme 'D Nude in lipgloss form. It is a pretty shade and this would compliment any nude lipstick like MAC Creme 'D Nude and MAC Myth. I recommend Fortune Cookie for lighter skintones and darker skintones can rock it with lip liners like MAC Subculture, Chestnut and Spice.
Raspberry Tart: It is described as a violet. Raspberry Tart is a gorgeous color and this would compliment any MAC purple lipstick or any purple lipstick that you own. When I swatched it, it looks almost like MAC Heroine lipglass but a bit darker. I am a sucker for purples and always be a purple lippie lover! It will compliment MAC Herione, Feel My Pulse, and MAC Violetta lipsticks for sure and this would look amazing over lip liners like NYX Purple Rain, MAC Magenta and MAC Herione.
Cupcake: It is described as a hot pink. Cupcake is such a gorgeous shade and it would make any hot pink lipstick pop! I have been eyeing on Cupcake for awhile since I love hot pink and it's my favorite color in the world! This would look so amazing with MAC Force of Love, Party Parrot, and Lustering Lipsticks as well as with Viva Glam Nicki 1 lipstick. I am in love with this color and would purchase another one soon!
Sugar Cookie: It is described as a bright fuchsia. Sugar Cookie is another gorgeous color that I love and have been wanting to have in my stash. This lipstick would go so well with MAC Show Orchid, Girl About Town, Lickable, Daddy's Little Girl, Dish It Up, and Heavenly Hybrid lipsticks. This shade is great for Spring to represent the color of the year which is Radiant Orchid. I am wearing this on my lips with Cupcake and topped it with MAC She-Zam Dazzleglass. I loved the combo so much that this would mark my go-to lip combo for a look that I'm planning to do soon.
Praline: It is described as a deep nude. I have never loved a nude lipgloss in a very long time! Praline would make a great everyday shade and it would look amazing with Bad Girl RiRi lipstick as well as some other nudes from other brands. I fell in love with this color when I applied it and could not stop looking at my lips and how it looks with my skintone! I recommend this to everyone who is looking for a everyday lipgloss that is efficient and a quick application in case you don't have time to apply your lipstick during the day.
Angel Food Cake: It is described as a true mauve. Angel Food Cake is another color that would be great for everyday! I do love Angel Food Cake a lot and it's rare that I purchase mauve-y shades and I cannot think of any lipsticks that would compliment with this shade. All I know is that this looks amazing on it's own plus any skintone can rock this shade. When I took pics of the swatches, it appeared like a pale mauve in which it's the flash and the real color is shown as a true mauve in person.
Ginger Snap: It is described as a chocolate brown. For a minute there, Ginger Snap almost reminded me of MAC Chestnut lipglass but not as dark. Ginger Snap is amazing on it's own and another everyday shade to wear for darker skintones. I really love how the color looks on my lips making it the perfect fit for my skintone. This shade is now making me crave for dark chocolate now in a good way LOL! I recommend this shade for WOC for sure!
Red Velvet: Is is described as a deep red. Red Velvet is a very stunning shade and it reminded me so much of MAC Deeply Adored in Butter Gloss form! When I applied Red Velvet to my lips, it was instant love! This gloss does not need lipstick nor lip liner because it is perfect on it's own. I definitely recommend Red Velvet if you are a lover of dark lips. Also, the name of the Butter Gloss has me craving for Red Velvet Cake in which I love to indulge in!
Madeleine: It is described as a mid-tone nude. Madeleine is a shade that I kind of love but will try mixing either Praline or Angel Food Cake to make it look better. When I tried it with MAC Nude Lipstick from the RiRi Hearts MAC Fall Collection, it looked awful with it plus I had no nude lip liner that would make Madeleine wearable on me. I will try Madeleine again today and will edit this.
Devil's Food Cake: It is described as a deep plum. Devil's Food Cake is a stunning shade! Like Red Velvet this looked so perfect on my lips and I adore Devil's Food Cake. It was instant love when I applied it and for those that love deep plum shades, this shade is for you. I also did not need lipstick nor lip liner for the gloss and it's perfect on it's own.

Hope you all enjoyed this post! I recommend purchasing all of the new shades off of NYX Cosmetics and you get free shipping on orders of $25 or more and the only shade that is sold out on their website is Fortune Cookie. I would look on Ulta's website and see if they have that shade available. Do you own all or any of these shades? If you do, which one is your favorite?
