MAC By Request Collection launched online of the lipsticks and lipglasses on April 1st and the eyeshadows launched online on April 3rd. The collection each has three lipsticks, three lipglasses and three eyeshadows that were voted by millons of people to have MAC bring back the most popular shades from the early 2000s. I only got the lipsticks because they are the must haves from this collection. I stalked online since 6 AM that day to stalk online to place my order on the three lipsticks. When I got them, they look so gorgeous!! I am glad to own them!
Pink Poodle: It is described as a vivid fuchsia pink and it's a Glaze finish (MAC has this lipstick listed as a Frost finish online and have yet to correct it to as a Glaze finish). Pink Poodle is a gorgeous color and I love that it has a blue iridescence to it. Normally MAC doesn't do Glaze finished lipsticks since they are not popular but in my book I like the Glaze finish. The pigmentation is semi-sheer but can take about three applications to be semi-opaque. I almost wanted to purchase the lipglass version of it (the limited edition one not the permanent one) but I have other pink lipglosses in my stash that I am satisfied with. Pink Poodle is sold out and I don't think that MAC will restock the lipstick online again.
Hoop: It is described as a mid-tone rosy pink and it's a Satin finish. Hoop is a very pretty shade! I have seen lots of people wearing this lipstick and it looks very wearable for everyday. The pigmentation is opaque and you can either wear it lightly on the lips to wear it as a subtle lip color or amplify it the way you want it. Hoop was the first lipstick to be sold out online. The lipglass version of it is what I really want but I have both Nectarsweet and Flare For Fantasy Cremesheen Glasses to use with Hoop. MAC also restocked the lipstick, unfortunately, the lipstick is sold out again and MAC will not restock the lipstick again.
Glam: It is described as a vivid bright pink-red and it's a Matte finish. Glam is a gorgeous color and the lipstick looks more of a blue based red than a pink red. I love how pigmented it is and the color just glides on like a dream when I swatched it on my hand. I have not tired it on my lips yet but will soon. To wear this gorgeous lipstick, you must first exfoliate your lips and apply balm to let it your lips soften and be moisturized for a good 30 minutes. The lipglass version of it was tempting to purchase but I followed my instincts to not get it since I do not want it to be sitting in my drawer for months not being used. This lipstick is still available online and do be quick to get it before it's gone.
